Freeze-drying cosmetics has numerous advantages over wet cosmetics. Enzymes retain activity as they are inert when freeze dried, so they have maximum activity when they are used by your customer. Freeze drying stabilizes cosmetics without the use of preservatives, an important consideration for users. Logistics with freeze-dried cosmetics is also easier and less expensive (no cold chain logistics required). Without liquid, products weigh less, cost less to ship, and create far fewer emissions in delivery.
There are a variety of applications for freeze-dried cosmetic beads but the most common is for them to be placed into a clear vial where users can see the beads. The user then adds purified serums to dissolve.
